Abstract
Mutual understanding among officials and followers has been a point of concern in behavioral management. Natural resources extension which, from the very first step, is concerned with the exploration of practical problems is in serious need of an atmosphere of mutual understanding between agents and clientele. In this research, attention was drawn toward the measurement of mutual understanding between executives and nomads regarding nomads’ problems in utilizing natural resources and breeding cattle in Isfahan Province. For this purpose, initially, understanding between nomads and natural resources administrators (extension agents and specialists) regarding their respective problems were measured and compared. The research population of the study consisted of two groups. The first, involved 32 administrators, extension agents and specialists, and the second, 75 nomad families. Two different questionnaires were developed for the study as research instruments in which 52 items regarding nomad problems were included. Each part of the population was asked to rank the items accordingly. Then, some nonparametric tests such as Kruscall Wallis and Mann Whitny U tests were applied to compare the mean rank for each item within and between the two groups.
Results showed that the administrators and nomads had different attitudes in only two of the 52 items. Administrators had no statistically significant different attitude in 52 problems. Eliminating the discriminating items, the attitudes in only two groups were compared and results showed that they had no significant difference in the remaining 48 items. Therefore, extension agents can follow these problems based on their mean rank priority in their developmental projects. This method of data reduction and understanding field constraints can be applied to the studies dealing with planning agricultural and/or natural resources development projects through extension education.

Abstract
In order to manage the rangeland resources, remote sensing data is able to provide a sensible role of different cases in flora community such as biomass. The study area in SefidAb subbasin of the Lar Dam basin is located in central Alborz, where the climatic condition is semihumid and near to moderate. For the assessment of the sattelite data and their capability in estimation of the range production, Landsat-TM data with different bands was used. In this research, the field data was collected using random-systematic method in 20 sampling units of 200 plots. For geographic coordinates of the sampling units and related pixels in digital data, GPS and also existing benchmark data of the nearest points were used. Then correlation between ground data and vegetation index from different band combination was investigated and the reasonble vegetation indices were obtained. Finally, the best models were extracted for this purpose, which showed sensible relation between the field data and vegetation index. Therefor, it is possible to estimate range production using Landsat TM data related to ground control.

Abstract
To study the effects of plant densities and planting orientation on the seed and forage yield of sorghum, an experiment was conducted at Hossein- Abad – Shahcal village –90 kilometers south of Bam-in 2002. The experiment was a factorial with randomized complete block deisgn and three replications. The treatments were: orientation with three levels (South-North, East – West, Northeast – Southwest) and plant densities with four levels (50000, 70000, 90000, 110000 plants per hectare). Results of analysis of variance showed that planting orientation had significant effects on seed yield, weight of 1000 seeds, number of tillers, dry matter yield, length and diameter of shoot. Mean comparisons, showed that the maximum and minimum amount of the above mentioned traits except for shoot length was obtained under the North-South and East-West orientations, respectively. Significant differences were also found among densities in terms of all the mentioned traits. Results showed that increasing density decreased seed yield, weight of 1000 seeds, number of tillers and shoot diameter. The highest and lowest values (except of seed yield) were recorded for 50000 and 110000 plants/per hectare, respectively. Dry matter yield and the shoot length increased with increasing density. Based on the results of this experiment, the best plant densities to obtain the highest forage and seed yield are 70000 and 110000 plant per hectare, respectively and the best planting orientation is North-South.

Abstract
The increasing cultivation of corn in Ahwaz and the direct relation between the increase of the summer corn yield and its perfect irrigation in sowing period all together have made the research regarding this crop necessary. Deciding over the suitable irrigation scheduling of corn (hybrid SC.704) in summer by utilization of class A evaporation pan is the focal point of this research. Accordingly, a project was conducted in the form of stadistical perfect accidendal block in four repetitions and four treatments in 1383 on Ahwaz Azad university research land situated in Choneibeh. The irrigation treatment had four levels of T1,T2,T3 and T4 in class A evaporation pan containing of four levels of 50,75,100 and 150 mm, carried out in split plot. The suitable irrigation period was chosen according to the best treatment performance and its components, and the total amount of water in the taking period defines the depth of irrigation. The soil texture is clay lomy silty and the internal soil is silty clay. According to the amount of the accumulated evaporation from class A evaporation pan and taking the plant coefficient (Kc) into consideration, the amount of needed evapotrans piration was calculated and the amount of needed water for plot was measured by water counter. Then a comparison between the means by the use of Donken multi domains test was made and in this way the superior treatment was selected. Accordingly, the most suitable time for irrigation of summer corn in Ahwaz was after 50 mm of accumulated evaporation from class A evaporation pan which equals ten irrigation in the growing period. So in order to acquire 12 tons of seed yield in each hectare, at least 9600 m^3 of water for every hectar is needed. However, given the equal amount of water, with 3 times decrease in irrigation in treatment T2 in comparison with T1, a performance near 11 tons and with five times decrease in irrigation and ten tons in treatment T3 a performance near 10 tons can be attained.

Abstract
In this study, 45 Pleurotus isolates with a wide range of geographical origins (in five provinces of Iran: Isfahan, Chaharmahal Bakhtiary, Kohkiloye boyrahmad, Lorestan and Fars) were collected. A random amplified polymorphic DNA polymerase chain reaction (RAPD-PCR) was used to assess the genetic diversity in ten populations of the Pleurotus eryngii complex. The use of ten primers allowed the production of 150 polymorphic bands. In addition, the evalution of the principal ecological and morphological characters provided further evidence for discriminating between populations. The results show a higher level of diversity of RAPD polymorphism in the populations. 28.67% of the RAPD diversity was among populations and 71.33% was within populations. In the RAPD patterns, Pleurotus strains growing on Ferula assa-foetida, Ferula ovina and Prangus ferulacea formed distinct groups. In this study, the resolution of the RAPD-PCR analysis was better than the morphological analysis.

Abstract
Using treated wastewater led to increasing crop yield, but it may causes heavy metals accumulations and also their toxicity in soil and plant. In order to investigate the effects of wastewater on yield, forage yield components, and heavy metals concentrations in stem and leaf of sorghum, an experiment was conducted in the agricultural Research Institute of Zabol University in 2006-2007, using a randomized complete block design with four replication. The irrigation treatments were: 1) well water for whole growing season as control (T1), 2) well water for all growing season along with NPK application (T2), 3) wastewater during the first half of growing season (T3), 4) wastewater during the second half of growing season (T4), 5) wastewater and tapwater alternately (T5) and 6) wastewater for whole growing season (T6). The results showed that irrigations with wastewater and well water alternately and wastewater for whole growing season produced the maximum forage yield and the maximum heavy metal accumulation in plant organs observed by irrigation with wastewater for hole growing season, and wastewater and well water alternately. There was significant increase between T5 and T6 relative to control and other treatments. The elements concentration such as Cu, Pb and Fe in leaf was more than stem, but Zn and Ni concentration in stem were more than leaves. There were no significant differences for Mo and Cr concentration between stem and leaf. Forage yield in T6 and T5 relative to T2 were increased 38.96 and 51.95 percent respectively. In all irrigation treatments the amount of elements and heavy metals in sorghum were lower than standard limits. Based on the results, alternative irrigation method (T5) is recommended for forage sorghum production.

Abstract
In order to assess the effect of drought stress and various levels of potassium on solutes accumulation and chlorophyll of canola and Indian mustard, a field experiment was conducted in a factorial design based on randomized complete block design with three replications including three irrigation regimes (I1=irrigation after 50% depletion of soil water(control),I2 =irrigation after 70% water depletion and I3 =irrigation after 90% water depletion), two species (Hyola 401 hybrid of canola and landrace cultivar of mustard) and three levels of potassium fertilizer (K1=0 ,K2=150 and K3= 250 kg.ha-1 K2SO4 ) at Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Center of Sistan in 2008-2009 cropping season. Water stress increased proline and soluble carbohydrate accumulation in the leaves of Brassica sp. In non stressed condition (control) in different growth stages, proline was lower than water-stressed plants and Leaf proline content decreased significantly after irrigation. Mustard landrace showed higher capability for accumulating assimilates such as proline, soluble carbohydrates and potassium than hybrid Hyola 401. Water stress decreased the amount of chlorophyll a, b and total leaf chlorophyll, but Potassium application caused an increase in the mentioned parameters. The highest content of chlorophyll pigments was observed at flowering stage. Potassium application caused a decrease in proline and an increase in soluble carbohydrates concentration in the leaf under water stress condition. There was a negative correlation between grain yield and proline content and soluble carbohydrates, but grain yield was positively correlated with chlorophyll, a, b. It was concluded that osmotic adjustment can be an important mechanism for Brassica species under water stress conditions and that organic and inorganic compounds such as proline, soluble carbohydrates and potassium play key roles in this regard.

Abstract
Identifying the rainfall characteristics and understanding the rainfall-related processes is one of the key factors in the scientific management of water resources. Selection of the design storm is the first step in the estimation of the design flood. Determining temporal rainfall patterns is very important as one of the design rainfall properties in flood estimation and the design of drainage systems. This study was concerned with the pattern of rainfall depth during its occurrence at the Dez dam station. In order to plot Huff curves in the Dez dam station, the recorded data of the rain gauge was used. For this purpose, all 280 storms from 1972 to 2016 in different seasons were classified into the five distinct classes including i) 0-2 hours, ii) 2-6 hours, iii) 6-12 hours, iv) 12-24 hours, and v) more than 24 hours. Furthermore, for each class and in each of the seasons, the Huff curves were plotted using all storms information single class. Moreover, for the considered station, all recorded events were considered in a single class and the general Huff curve was plotted using the probability of 50%. In general, the highest number of storms in the Dez dam (about 32.9%) was grouped in the second quartile. However, it was about 55, 48.5 and 50.4 percent in the case of short storms (0-2 hours) for spring, autumn and winter, respectively. In contrast, low percentages were obtained for the rainfalls having long durations. The Logistic equation was extracted for all Huff curves. These curves would be useful in efficient water resources management. The value of the correlation coefficient between the amounts obtained from the Logistic model and the corresponding values extracted from the curves was more than 0.99, which was significant in 1 percent.

Abstract
Changes in soil infiltration cause changes in irrigation efficiencies; therefore, estimating it in calculating irrigation efficiencies provides a more accurate estimate of irrigation performance indicators. In a study conducted on ARC2-7 farm in Amirkabir agro-industry in the 2010-2011 crop year, during four irrigations; two furrows were selected in terms of uniform infiltration and variable infiltration with a length of 140 and a width of 1.83 m. In the furrow assuming uniform infiltration two flume type II, at the beginning and end of it, were installed and the cumulative infiltration was determined by the volume balance method. The furrow with variable conditions was divided into four sections by installing five flumes. By examining the spatial variations of the mean cumulative infiltration, its value decreased from the first to the fourth section for the first irrigation by 15% and for the subsequent irrigations by 13%. Temporal changes of cumulative infiltration decreased by 27 and 30% for the first and second sections and by 26% for the third and fourth sections. An 11% increase in the average weight of the aggregate diameter and a 7% decrease in bulk density indicate physical changes in the soil. Surface runoff losses increased from 8 to 18.77% in the furrow assuming uniform infiltration and from 10.91 to 19.77% in the furrow with variable infiltration, and application efficiency decreased by 6%.

Abstract
Soil erosion followed by sediment production is the most important phenomenon that causes soil and environment degradation in many areas and is increasing. Sediment fingerprinting is a method to identify sediment sources and determine the contribution of each source to sediment production. The present research was carried out to evaluate the relative erosion sensitivity of lithological units and to determine the contribution of each unit in bed sediment production using geochemical properties in the Vaz River located in Mazandaran province. The 33 soil samples were taken from the whole watershed and one sediment sample at the outlet of the watershed. Then, five tracers of B, Al, Sc, Mo, and Sn were selected as the optimal combination using three statistical tests range tests, Kruskal-Wallis, and discriminant function analysis. Finally, using optimal tracers and a combined multivariate model, the contribution of lithological units with very high (A), high (B), medium to high (C), and medium (D) sensitivity in bed sediment production were obtained using FingerPro statistical package and R software. The results showed that the contribution of lithological units with very high (A), high (B), medium to high (C), and medium (D) sensitivity in bed sediment production were 24.23, 50.77, 15.62, and 9.36%, respectively. Then, the specific contribution of each sensitivity class was also calculated to remove the effect of area on the results. The Qal lithological unit including the Quaternary sediments in the river bed and banks with very high sensitivity to erosion (A) and a specific contribution of 0.0807 % per hectare had the maximum contribution in bed sediment production in Vaz River.

Abstract
Non-linear weirs meanwhile economic advantages, have more passing flow capacity than linear weirs. These weirs have higher discharge efficiency with less free height upstream compared to linear weirs by increasing the length of the crown at a certain width. Intelligent algorithms have found a valuable place among researchers due to their great ability to discover complex and hidden relationships between effective independent parameters and dependent parameters, as well as saving money and time. In this research, the performance of support vector machine (SVM) and gene expression programming algorithm (GEP) in predicting the discharge coefficient of arched non-linear weirs was investigated using 243 laboratory data series for the first scenario and 247 laboratory data series for the second scenario. The geometric and hydraulic parameters were used in this research including the water load (HT), weir height (P), total water load ratio (HT/p), arc cycle angle (Ɵ), cycle wall angle (α), and discharge coefficient (Cd). The results of artificial intelligence showed that the combination of parameters (Cd, H_T/p, α, Ɵ) respectively in GEP and SVM algorithms in the training phase related to the first scenario (Labyrinth weir with cycle wall angle 6 degrees) were respectively equal to (R2=0.9811), (RMSE=0.02120), (DC=0.9807), and (R2=0.9896), (RMSE=0.0189), (DC=0.9871) in the second scenario (Labyrinth weir with a cycle wall angle of 12 degrees) it was equal to (R2=0.9770), (RMSE=0.0193), (RMSE=0.9768), and (R2 = 0.9908), (RMSE = 0.0128), (DC = 0.9905), which compared to other combinations has led to the most optimal output that shows the very favorable accuracy of both algorithms in predicting the coefficient the Weir discharge is arched non-linear. The results of the sensitivity analysis indicated that the effective parameter in determining the discharge coefficient of the arched non-linear Weir in GEP and in SVM is the total water load ratio parameter (HT/p). Comparing the results of this research with other researchers revealed that the evaluation indices for GEP and SVM algorithms of this research had better estimates than other researchers.

Abstract
Weirs of the labyrinth have some advantages including the high coefficient of the irrigation of weir and the low fluctuation of water when the flow passes over the crest of the weir. In this research, the flow rate coefficient has been investigated by changing the weir geometry in terms of wall slope, arc cycle angle, and nose length change in the upstream and downstream of each cycle of the trapezoidal arc labyrinth weir. A total of 240 tests have been performed on 16 different physical models in a channel with a width of 120 cm and a narrowing of 20 cm from each wall. All models have been compared with the control model (normal labyrinth weir) (80A). The results showed that the 80B weir with an arc cycle angle of 20 degrees and without wall slope has a better performance than other weirs. Also, the weir with an arc cycle angle and a wall slope of 20 degrees in a divergent form (D20B) in the area (Ht/P) <0.31 has a better performance than other weirs with an arc cycle angle of 20 degrees, and after this area, the weir with a wall slope of 10 degrees has performed better in divergent form (D10B). In weirs with different cycles at an arc cycle angle of 20 degrees, the labyrinth weir with 5 cycles (N5) has performed better up to the point (Ht/P)=0.36. Also, at the maximum point, the difference is 13 and 17%, respectively, compared to the 4-cycle and 3-cycle weirs.
